Competitive Dance Teams receive an average of 6-8 hours per week of instruction, and compete at four regional events and one national competition every year. Competitive dance is an intensive sport, and the athletes work very hard to complete a minimum of three dances. Some dancers may have as many as 8-10 dances to remember every season! The exception is the Mini Company, which generally has 1-2 dances per season.
Regional competitions are generally held in Nashville or the Middle Tennessee area, while National competitions can be held anywhere. In the past few years, MACE DC has traveled to Panama City Beach, FL and to Gatlinburg, TN.
Miss Amy’s Competitive Edge Dance Company (MACE DC) has multiple National and Regional title holders both in both teams and individuals, at all levels of competition.
If your child dances constantly, can’t wait to get to class, and you’re ready to take on a significant time and financial commitment, Dance Company may be for you! Our Dance Company dancers and parents are a family unlike any you’ve met before, and we are committed to grow the young ladies and young men not just as dancers but also as individuals.
